The Difference Between Mentorship & Supervision

Our mentorship consists of one-on-one customized support for six months.  Our supervision consists of group sessions, held once per month, for four months where you can connect with peers, share experiences, and gain new perspectives in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Couple's Therapy Supervision

Our couples therapy supervision is grounded in the Integrated Gray Approach, a unique and evidence-based methodology that combines the best of the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This approach is specifically designed to equip therapists with the tools and insights needed to effectively address the complex dynamics of couple relationships.

The Gottman Method offers a research-backed framework for understanding and improving relationship stability. It emphasizes the importance of building healthy communication patterns, managing conflict constructively, and nurturing positive interactions. By incorporating these principles into your practice, you’ll be better equipped to help couples strengthen their bond and overcome challenges.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), on the other hand, focuses on the emotional underpinnings of relationship distress. It helps couples create secure emotional bonds by addressing unmet attachment needs and fostering deeper emotional connections. This approach is particularly effective in helping couples move past cycles of negative interactions and towards a more secure and loving relationship.

By integrating these two powerful approaches, the Integrated Gray Approach offers a comprehensive and balanced framework for couples therapy. It not only addresses the practical aspects of relationship dynamics but also delves into the emotional and psychological layers that contribute to lasting change. This evidence-based method ensures that you, as a therapist, are using the most effective tools available to guide your clients towards healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

In our supervision sessions, we’ll explore how to apply the Integrated Gray Approach to your work with couples, offering you guidance on case conceptualization, intervention strategies, and how to tailor these methods to the unique needs of each couple. Whether you’re new to couples therapy or looking to refine your existing skills, our supervision will provide you with the confidence and expertise needed to excel in this specialized area of practice.
