ABOUT
We live in anxious times, often resulting from the many pressures and questions related to success, failure, finding meaning in our lives and feeling connected to ourselves and others. It is no surprise that at one time or another, we question our capacity for coping well through life’s stressors.
Whether you are going through anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal conflict, complicated family dynamics, or trauma, I have learned that feeling better begins with building our strengths and resilience. As your partner in this effort, I bring many tried-and-true tools, strategies and resources to help you overcome the obstacles that life throws your way.
I have both professional and lived experience with respect to mental health and navigating complicated life situations and relationships. In developing the ability to manage and understand our thoughts and feelings, we can become empowered to shift the trajectory of our lives toward healthy relationships with ourselves and others.
Our challenges do not define who we are, we define who we are. It is my goal to create a safe and therapeutic environment for you to explore your inner dialogue and discover who you want to be. I specialize in working with families, adolescents, and young adults from diverse backgrounds and help them to build cohesion in the family unit and within themselves.
If you have reached a point in your life where you recognize the need to heal, cope, or overcome personal or relational challenges, I can help. I sincerely welcome the opportunity to see if I would be a good fit for you. I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone consultation.

ABOUT
The process of starting and continuing therapy can feel overwhelming. You may have had negative experiences with therapy in the past, or you may feel societal stigma associated with receiving therapy. These are some of many reasons why reaching out for help can feel intimidating. I encourage you to take the first step and attend therapy. Our journeys through life can be difficult and many of the world’s most successful people have found healing and hope through therapy.
Using an individualized approach, I can assist you with your goals. The sessions will be unique to each client. Throughout our work together, we will revisit the goals and assess progress. I aim to create a space that is welcoming to my clients and hope to hold space for my clients where they can examine their thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear or negative criticism. In my practise I aim to use a strength-based approach which means we will take a close look at your strengths and help you to see them and learn how to better utilise them . This does not mean we disregard your challenges but consider how your skills, knowledge, experience etc can help you through your challenges. Furthermore, I also prioritise therapeutic relationships in my sessions. As clients you are bringing your deepest thoughts, beliefs and experiences into sessions and my goal is to build a space in sessions where the client feels they can be open and does not feel the need to conform or refrain in sessions.
I love to paint and travel. I have been painting for the past 4 years.

Exploring your feelings and addressing mental health concerns can be a scary, uncomfortable, overwhelming, or challenging process. Being seized by negative emotions can impact your mental health. Whether you are battling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, or personal development, my goal is to help make this process as comfortable, beneficial, and insightful as possible. My approach to therapy is to always be open an understanding of various cultures, religions, and racial backgrounds in a non-judgemental and empathetic way. I firmly believe in creating a space that acknowledges systemic forms of oppression such as racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, and ageism. By actively addressing these socially rooted inequalities, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and validating environment for all clients.
